Where the name comes from

The Screaming Nazi is Jagermeister and cinnamon schnapps. The Dead Nazi adds peppermint to the mix, and the Flamin’ version sets it on fire. The name is meant to provoke and lands in the same shock-shot tradition as the Brain Haemorrhage and the IED. Use your judgement on whether to call it that out loud.

It is a flame-shot variant from the late 1990s and early 2000s when overproof and high-sugar liqueurs were everywhere.

What it tastes like

Bitter herbal Jager hits first, cinnamon and peppermint chase it down. The flame caramelises the surface and gives a toasted top note.

Cold ingredients flame longer and burn cleaner. Warm and the flame goes out fast, taking the theatre with it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers to what people search for after Googling this drink.

Is the flame dangerous?
Manageable if you do it right. Long match, never lean over, blow out before drinking. Dry rim only.
What is the alcohol percentage?
Around 35 percent. Jager is 35, schnapps are 30 to 50, the average lands there.
Why blow it out instead of drinking lit?
Burning your face is the most common shot-related injury. Always blow it out first.
Can I batch a tray?
Pour cold, line up the glasses, flame each one individually as you go round the table.
What snack works with it?
Salted nuts, jerky or pretzels. The shot is sweet and minty so a salty bite balances it.
