Beetlejuice Cocktails

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice invented an aesthetic , striped suits, wild grey hair, goth teens, haunted New England manors , that’s now its own party theme. This collection leans into it. Black-and-orange stripes, ghostly whites, swamp-green potions, and one unapologetically terrible bio-exorcism shot.

Inside: Netherworld Punch (black sambuca, orange, absurd garnish), Handbook for the Recently Deceased Shot (layered black and white), Lydia’s Goth Martini (activated charcoal, vodka, elderflower), Maitland Manor Old Fashioned (bourbon, New England maple), Dune Worm Mezcal (smoky, sand-rimmed), Day-O Banana Daiquiri (tropical, because someone’s always going to call the dinner-party scene), and the ultimate call-and-response shot: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (three shots, blow them back in sequence).

Hosting a Beetlejuice Night?

Original (1988): start with the Day-O Banana Daiquiri. Switch to Maitland Manor Old Fashioneds once Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin realise they’re dead.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024): kick off with the Three-Shot Summon. Keep a Netherworld Punch on the sideboard for the wedding scene.

Pair with: shrimp cocktails (obviously), Italian antipasti, a black-and-white-striped dessert table.

Dress code: optional but encouraged. Winona Ryder goth circa 1988 or striped rental-tux chic.
