  • Prepare Chocolate: Use a vegetable peeler to shave 1 tablespoon off the block of Cadbury Caramilk chocolate. Set aside for garnish. Finely chop the remaining chocolate.
  • Melt Chocolate Mixture: In a saucepan over low heat, combine the finely chopped chocolate, heavy cream, and milk. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is close to boiling. Remove from heat.
  • Whisk Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and sugar until the mixture turns pale and slightly thick.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the hot chocolate-cream mixture to the egg yolk mixture, whisking continuously. Return the combined mixture to the saucepan.
  • Cook Eggnog: Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly for about 8-10 minutes until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Avoid bringing the mixture to a boil. Stir in the spiced rum.
  • Serve: Divide the eggnog between two heatproof glasses. Top each with a dollop of extra whipped cream. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate shavings and a dash of ground nutmeg over the top. Enjoy!

For an extra festive touch, rim the glasses with crushed candy canes.
